From the founder
Hello there! I'm Dave, founder of Wrapd. There are a few things about me that once you know, you'll see why I set out on this journey.Let's start with the first. I'm from a pretty big family - one of five brothers - and things have always been a little hectic with us. We are not an organised bunch!But there we were particularly frantic in the run up to the holidays.
Chaotic at Christmas
This disorganisation and the sheer numbers meant that Christmas was always a chaotic affair, something you might assume would get more manageable the older we got but you would be wrong. The brothers grew up, got married and now our partners were pulled into the chaos.Then some of us had kids of our own.I tend to feel it worse than the rest because I had the unlucky happenstance of a birthday at the same time of year.
We needed help...
Things came to a head in the 2022 when that year's festive season brought me joy and good tidings and three pairs of slippers. All from the same shop.And one of my sisters-in-law got the same hot chocolate twice over. And one of my brothers got the same beard oil three times.Usually, it's just my mother buying duplicate gifts. In 2022 we were all at it.

Despite these mixups, my wife bought me the best Christmas-birthday combination gift ever.But more importantly - it wasn't a gift I had thought of when people asked me what I wanted.I think sometimes, our loved ones really do know us better than we do ourselves.That's why Wrapd let's you and your loved ones add gifts for each other. All without the intended recipient knowing what it is.

And that brings me to my final point. We all want our gifts to surprise and delight. Wishlists should serve as inspiration - a rough guide rather than a shopping list.And those best ideas need to be shared with the other people buying gifts. Because they might inspire further ideas, so on someone's special day the surprises keep coming.And if nothing else, you might save someone from returning superfluous pairs of slippers.

Wrapd collects a lot of data to do what it does. We appreciate that not everyone is comfortable sharing their data, so we want to make it transparent what we collect and what we do with it. The list below is complete as of Sunday 17th September 2023:
